1. About CalMind Hypnotherapy

CalMind Hypnotherapy provides online hypnotherapy services incorporating Hypno-CBT® (Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy).

The practice is operated by an independent, self-employed practitioner trading as CalMind Hypnotherapy.

Website: calmindhypnotherapy.com

By booking a consultation, purchasing a session or purchasing a therapy package, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, subject to your statutory consumer rights.

2. Services Provided

CalMind Hypnotherapy offers:

  • A free 15-minute initial consultation.

  • Individual online hypnotherapy sessions.

  • Discounted packages of four or six sessions.

Sessions incorporate cognitive behavioural techniques and evidence-based clinical hypnosis, adapted to individual circumstances and therapeutic goals.

Hypnotherapy is a collaborative process. Outcomes vary between individuals, and no particular result or improvement can be guaranteed.

The services provided are not a substitute for emergency medical care, psychiatric treatment or other healthcare where clinically indicated.

3. Suitability and Initial Assessment

Before beginning therapy, you may be asked to provide relevant information about your health, wellbeing, medication and reasons for seeking support.

This information helps determine whether the service is appropriate for your circumstances.

CalMind Hypnotherapy reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where treatment falls outside the practitioner’s competence or where another form of professional support would be more appropriate.

Where appropriate, you may be advised to consult your GP or another qualified healthcare professional.

4. Booking and Payment

Appointments are booked through the online booking system or arranged directly with the practitioner.

Payment for individual sessions and therapy packages is normally required in advance through the website.

All prices are displayed before checkout. The total payable amount and applicable currency will be confirmed before an order is placed.

Purchasing a package covers the specified number of sessions. Additional appointments beyond the package are charged separately.

5. Therapy Packages and Discounts

CalMind Hypnotherapy offers discounted packages of four and six sessions.

Therapy packages do not have an expiry date. Unused sessions remain available for future booking, subject to the continued operation and availability of the practice.

Package discounts apply to the purchase of the agreed number of sessions.

If you voluntarily decide to discontinue a package, you may request a refund of its unused portion. Outside any applicable statutory cancellation period, completed sessions will ordinarily be valued at the standard individual session price of £95, with the remaining balance refunded.

Any such calculation will be subject to applicable consumer law, including requirements of fairness and proportionality. A refund will not be reduced below an amount required by law.

6. Cancelling or Rescheduling Appointments

You may cancel or reschedule an appointment without charge by providing at least 24 hours’ notice before the scheduled start time.

If less than 24 hours’ notice is provided, the session fee may be retained, or one session may be deducted from a prepaid package, where lawful and proportionate.

If you fail to attend a scheduled appointment without providing prior notice (a “no-show”), the session may be treated as used. The session fee may be retained, or one session may be deducted from a prepaid package, subject to applicable consumer law and the requirement that any charge is fair and proportionate.

Exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.

These appointment cancellation terms do not affect your statutory rights, including any applicable right to cancel a distance contract.

7. Late Arrival and Technical Difficulties

Please join your online appointment at the agreed time.

If you arrive late, the session may still finish at its originally scheduled time to avoid affecting subsequent appointments.

If technical difficulties occur, reasonable efforts will be made to restore the connection.

Where a session cannot proceed because of technical difficulties outside the client’s reasonable control, an alternative appointment or appropriate refund will be considered.

If CalMind Hypnotherapy is unable to provide the agreed session, you will be offered a suitable alternative appointment or a refund for the service not provided.

8. Your Right to Cancel an Online Purchase

Where you purchase services online as a consumer, you will generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning the day after the contract is entered into, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

You may exercise this right by sending a clear cancellation request to calmindhypnotherapy@gmail.com.

If you expressly request that a paid service begins during the statutory cancellation period and subsequently cancel within that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already supplied, where permitted by law and where the necessary information and consent requirements have been met.

The proportionate amount will be calculated in accordance with applicable consumer law, rather than automatically applying the standard individual session price to discounted package sessions.

Where a service has been fully performed during the cancellation period, the statutory right to cancel may be lost only where the legal requirements for express consent and acknowledgement have been satisfied.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

9. Refunds

Refund requests should be submitted by email to calmindhypnotherapy@gmail.com.

Refunds will be assessed in accordance with these Terms & Conditions, the separate Refund and Returns Policy and applicable consumer legislation.

Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method.

If CalMind Hypnotherapy cancels a paid appointment and an alternative date is unsuitable, the client will receive a refund for the session not provided.

10. Confidentiality and Personal Information

Information shared during therapy is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with professional ethical obligations and applicable data protection legislation.

Confidentiality is subject to limited exceptions, including where disclosure is required by law or justified by serious safeguarding concerns.

Personal information is processed in accordance with the CalMind Hypnotherapy Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected, stored, used and protected.

11. Client Responsibilities

Clients are expected to:

  • Provide accurate information relevant to the suitability and safety of therapy.

  • Attend appointments on time and participate voluntarily.

  • Arrange a private, reasonably quiet environment for online sessions.

  • Use a reliable internet connection and suitable device.

  • Inform the practitioner of significant changes that may affect their therapy.

Clients remain free to stop therapy at any time, subject to the applicable payment and refund terms.

12. Online Sessions and International Clients

Sessions are delivered remotely using online communication technology.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have access to a suitable device, internet connection and private environment.

Services may be available to clients outside the United Kingdom where the practitioner is legally and professionally permitted to provide them.

CalMind Hypnotherapy may decline bookings from jurisdictions where applicable requirements cannot be satisfied.

13. Professional Boundaries and Emergencies

CalMind Hypnotherapy does not provide an emergency or crisis intervention service.

If you are experiencing an immediate mental health crisis or believe that you or another person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services or an appropriate local crisis service.

The therapeutic relationship is professional and subject to appropriate ethical boundaries.

14. Changes to Appointments or Services

Occasionally, appointments may need to be rescheduled due to illness, emergencies or other circumstances outside the practitioner’s control.

Clients will be informed as soon as reasonably possible and offered an alternative appointment.

Where an agreed service cannot be provided, applicable refund and consumer rights will be respected.

15. Changes to These Terms

CalMind Hypnotherapy may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.

The version applicable to a purchase will normally be the version presented when that purchase was made, unless a change is required by law or separately agreed.

Material changes affecting existing bookings will be communicated where appropriate.

16. Complaints and Contact

If you have concerns about your experience or wish to make a complaint, please contact:

CalMind Hypnotherapy
Email: calmindhypnotherapy@gmail.com

Complaints will be considered fairly, respectfully and within a reasonable timeframe.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in the client’s country of residence.

Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
